General Summary:
This position has the responsibility of inspecting all types of rifle and pistol ammunition for defects and conformity to manufacturing specifications and packaging to prepare for retail or wholesale sale.

Principal Duties and Accountabilities (Essential Functions)
- Must be able to accurately inspect bullets, cartridges and primers visually and dimensionally, using the appropriate tools in the reloading department
- Ensure that all procedures and documentation of travelers, including traveler face, pick tickets, inspection record, etc are filled out and adhered to consistently and correctly
- Must be able to listen and follow instructions from supervisor and management
- Must keep accurate and detailed paperwork for tracking and inventory purposes
- Must be able to rotate shifts or shift work may be required on a permanent basis (Monday- Thursday 6:00 am – 4:30 pm or Monday – Thursday 4:00 pm – 2:30 am)
- Must be willing and able to work overtime when necessary
- Must be able to rotate day and swing shifts
Education, Skills, and Experience
Personal Tool Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must have excellent communication skills
- Good reading skills to be able to follow written procedures correctly
- Good writing skills to be able to fill out paperwork correctly and legibly
- Must have good math skills, i.e. addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
- Must be detailed oriented and organized
- Must be able to multi-task and work well under pressure
- Must have excellent communication skills
- Must have basic computer skills
- Must be punctual, reliable and honest
- Must be willing and able to learn new tasks
- Ability to speak, read and write in the English language sufficient enough to perform the following:
- Communicate effectively with other team members and supervision
- Read and comprehend process instructions

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but is often loud in specified areas. Hearing and eye protection is provided.
Safety Shoes meeting OSHA/ANSI Z-41 specifications are required for anyone working in the production department. Anyone working on the ammunition loading equipment or working in the Ballistic Lab are also required to have electrostatic dissipative (ESD) shoes.

Good visual skills to see and determine bullet defects and flaws when packaging
Good hygiene and grooming habits, no exposed midriff’s, closed toed shoes required
Position requires a great deal of movement and standing on your feet up to 80% of the day
Ability to climb ladders and stairs both ascending and descending using feet and hands up to 20% of the day
Ability to lift, balance and maneuver up to 40 lbs while standing on a ladder
Ability to kneel, crouch and stoop 20-30% of the day
Ability to push and pull carts of bullets up to 500 lbs
Must be willing and able to work overtime when necessary
