General Summary:

This position has the basic responsibilities of pulling multiple types of sales orders, packaging bullets and other required items using an automated machine or manually.

Details:

Principal Duties and Accountabilities (Essential Functions)

  • Pulling of Retail, Internet, Distributor, Foreign and OEM orders

  • Packaging of all bullet types using an automated machine or manually

  • Complete changeovers on the automated machines (boxing/labeler)

  • Keeping accurate and detailed paperwork

  • Pouring and sealing CR10 bottles

  • Stocking department supplies when needed

  • Must be willing and able to learn new tasks

  • Schedule is Monday – Thursday 6:00 am – 4:30 pm

  • Must be willing and able to work overtime or shift work when necessary

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Minimum of six months shipping experience preferred

  • Good reading skills to be able to follow written procedures correctly

  • Good writing skills to be able to fill out paperwork correctly and legibly

  • Must have good math skills, i.e. addition, subtraction, multiplication and division

  • Must be detailed oriented and organized

  • Must be able to multi-task and work well under pressure

  • Must have excellent communication skills

  • Must have basic computer skills

  • Must be punctual, reliable and honest

  • Ability to speak, read and write in the English language sufficient enough to perform the following:
    • Communicate effectively with other team members and supervision
    • Read and comprehend process instructions
    • Record pertinent process information as required

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather.  The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but is often loud in specified areas.  Hearing and eye protection is provided.

Employee will be exposed to a bore cleaning agent with a strong ammonia odor. A respirator program exists for those who require it. 

Safety Shoes meeting OSHA/ANSI Z-41 specifications are required for anyone working in the production department. Anyone working on the ammunition loading equipment or working in the Ballistic Lab are also required to have electrostatic dissipative (ESD) shoes.

  • Good visual skills to see and determine bullet defects and flaws when packaging

  • Good hygiene and grooming habits, no exposed midriff’s, closed toed shoes required

  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs

  • Position requires a great deal of movement and standing on your feet up to 80% of the day

  • Ability to climb ladders and stairs both ascending and descending using feet and hands up to 10% of the day

  • Ability to lift, balance and maneuver up to 50 lbs while standing on a ladder (loading hoppers)

  • Ability to kneel, crouch and stoop 20-30% of the day

  • Ability to push and pull carts of bullets up to 1500 lbs

  • Must be willing and able to work overtime when necessary
