Sarah Senior started hunting after seeing how much fun her older brother had during hunting trips with her dad. At the age of 10, she took her Hunter Education class, and after much studying, passed the test with a score of 91 percent. This is the same test given to all hunters in our state.
Sarah’s dad bought her a Remington LSS in .260 Remington. She spent countless hours at the shooting range helping her dad with load development. Her gun liked the 120 TSX with Varget powder. Her first actual hunting trip took place when she was 11. This was a pronghorn hunt. Although she was unsuccessful in harvesting a speed goat, a lifetime of memories were formed. Sarah developed an affection for pronghorn hunting and a pronghorn hunt has been scheduled in the fall.
Her next hunt was for mule deer when Sarah was at 12 years old. After several days of hard hunting, she took this nice 3X4 buck. The Barnes TSX did the trick. Several weeks later, she was on a cow elk hunt. She and another young girl hunter drew Arizona cow tags. This time, the 130 TSX was chosen for the task. Neither girl had the opportunity to shoot, but they had a great time hunting together! Sarah enjoys the outdoors and looks forward to many years of hunting with family and friends.
