Huntress Spotlight
Tamara Ryan

This is a photo of the buck mule deer my wife, Tamara, shot October 2006 in the San Juan Mountains of southwest Colorado. She used her .270 Weatherby Ultralight handloaded with a 130-grain Triple-Shock bullet. She killed the buck as he was crossing a ridge some 200 yards away.

Tamara started hunting in 2004, when I returned from Iraq after serving there with the 1st Marine Division (she surprised me by getting her Hunter Safety card while I was gone).

Below is a picture of a deer she shot in Craig, Colorado during the fall of 2004 – this was her first deer. She killed her second the following year, also near Craig. She is hoping to follow these successful hunts by shooting a good elk.

We live in Denver, Colorado. Tamara is a mother of two boys (and a lab and a Great Dane).
Thanks again for such super bullets and service!
