Brand Manager
Leads the short and long term strategic direction and manages the day-to-day activities of the advertising, media, consumer promotions (sweepstakes, rebates & co-op), shows, catalogs and CRM/Database initiatives for the Freedom Group brands.

• Manages the annual brand planning process to identify the objectives, strategies and tactics including:
o Advertising
o Media
o Consumer Promotions (sweepstakes, rebates & co-op)
o Shows
o Catalogs
o CRM/Database
• Responsible for the development, execution and measurement of tactical marketing plans.
• Manage the day-to-day activities of the partner agencies (e.g., advertising) and lead the development of the annual agency evaluation.
• Accountable for managing the appropriate marketing budget as well as reporting on qualitative and quantitative results on a monthly/quarterly basis.
• Works with the consumer insights department to gather and analyze consumer information to discover key insights.
• Works with the Channel Marketing team to ensure the execution of tactical marketing plans.
• Responsible for hiring, developing and coaching direct reports.
Skills and Education Required:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration – Marketing required (MBA preferred) from an accredited College or University.
• Minimum of 3 to 5 years marketing experience within a Consumer Goods Company (minimum of 2 years of consecutive Brand/Marketing Manager experience).
• Demonstrated and effective consumer goods marketing experience including the creative development process and program execution.
• Highly organized and very strong and proven project management skills.
• Demonstrated and effective experience with managing and directing outside agencies.
• Self-starter and able to work independently and work effectively within cross-functional teams.
• Sound analytical skills and acute attention to details, adept at creative thinking and problem solving.
• Superior verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively present information to all levels within the organization.
• To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to demonstrate proficiency with the Internet and Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical
procedures or governmental regulations.
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public.
• Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.
• Ability to analyze and interpret P&L statements and understand key marketing metrics (e.g., market share and brand awareness).
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
• Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
