Current Openings:

Machinist

 Summary: An individual with experience operating machining equipment such as; mills, lathes, grinders, drills, etc. One who has experience using a caliper, micrometer, comparator, and other such required tools for this position; an individual who is willing to be engaged in a process that requires constant focus, motivation, absolute participation and willingness to learn.

Duties:
Must be at work on time everyday, unless excused
Must know how to operate lathes, mills, grinders, drills, saws, etc.
Must understand how to read and produce parts from blueprints
Must be able to check parts and tooling dimensionally using the comparator, micrometers, calipers, etc.
Must requisition necessary tooling and supplies in a timely fashion
Must be willing to learn and accept new responsibilities
Must be careful, alert, work safely and keep a clean work area
Must wear safety glasses at all times while in shop area
Shift work may be required as needed or on a permanent basis
Must be willing to work overtime when necessary

Qualifications:
Associates degree in Machine Tool Technology or equivalent experience
Must be teachable
Punctuality and reliability is a must
Must have good math skills, i.e. addition, subtraction, and division
Good writing and reading skills
Must be able to listen and follow instructions from management and others
Must be able to record necessary paperwork legibly and accurately
Personal Tool Requirements:  (Including but not limited to)  0-3” micrometers (.0001 increments) and 0-6” caliper (.001 increments), test dial indicator (.0001 increments), travel dial indicator, magnetic base-dovetail holder, edge finder, 0-3” depth micrometers, and any other tools needed on a regular basis for machining (These tools must be checked and calibrated periodically and kept in good working order)
Ability to speak, read and write in the English language sufficient enough to perform the following:
>Communicate effectively with other team members and supervision
>Read and comprehend process instructions
>Record pertinent process information as required

Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Must be able to bend and lift at least 50 pounds
Good hearing and listening habits to determine abnormal machines noises
Good visual skills to determine part defects and flaws
Good hygiene and grooming habits (no jewelry is permitted), long hair must be pulled back, no loose clothing or exposed midriffs, closed toed shoes required
Position requires a great deal of movement, including bending and climbing

Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather and underground contained conditions.  The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, but is often loud in specified areas.  Hearing and eye protection is provided.
Safety Shoes meeting OSHA/ANSI Z-41 specifications are required for anyone working in the production department. Anyone working on the ammunition loading equipment or working in the Ballistic Lab are also required to have electrostatic dissipative (ESD) shoes.

Compensation Package:
Starting salary: $17.00 DOE

Rotary Press Operator

Duties:
Operate the PK Blender
Operate the Scales
Operate the Rotary Press
Record Raw Materials Inventory information
Complete production records (Traveler)
Keep the rotary press area clean and neat
Shift work may be required on an as needed or permanent basis
Must be willing and able to work overtime when necessary

Qualifications:
High school diploma or G.E.D is required
Some experience operating a tablet press is preferred
Must have good reading skills, must be able to follow written procedures correctly
Must have good writing skills and be able to fill out paperwork correctly and legibly
Must have good math skills, i.e. addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
Must be able to communicate effectively with management and peers
Good mechanical aptitude
Must be computer literate with some computer operating skills
Must be punctual and dependable
