The NRA Publications Golden Bullseye Awards acknowledges the finest products available for shooting sports. Now in its tenth year, the awards are given to winners selected by a seven-member committee comprised of editors, graphic designers and veteran NRA Publications staff who, collectively, represent more than a century of shooting and hunting experience.

The Golden Bullseye Award will be presented during a special breakfast at the 2012 NRA Annual Meetings & Exhibits in St. Louis, Missouri held on Friday, April 13, 2012.

The Barnes Triple Shock X-Bullet was recently selected as the 2006 Shooting Illustrated Ammunition Product of the year.

The Golden Bullseye Awards are an acknowledgement of the finest products available in the shooting sports, and are voted on by an eight-member committee consisting of editors, art staff and veteran publications staff, representing more than a century of collective experience in the firearms industry. To qualify for consideration for a Golden Bullseye Award, a product must have been:

  • Recently introduced and widely available to consumers in 2005
  • Used/tested by a staff member or regular contributor to the magazine
  • Reliable in the field, meeting or exceeding the evaluator’s expectations
  • Innovative in design and function
  • Readily perceived as a value to the purchaser
  • Styled in a manner befitting the firearm industry and, perhaps more importantly its enthusiasts

The award was presented at the recent NRA Convention in Milwaukee and Barnes, along with their employees, feel very honored that they were considered for this special award.
