X-cellent Shots

It was a pleasure to meet you at the Western Hunting and Conservation Expo in Salt Lake City, Utah, and discuss my recent experience with your Triple-Shock X Bullet. As I mentioned, in September 2007 I hunted Dall sheep in Alaska with Master Outfitter Bill Stevenson.

The hunt was as demanding as I had expected, and it wasn’t until the morning of the 5th day that I was able to get my sights on sheep. With literally no cover, my only chance was to shoot from behind a ridge of rocks 400 yards from the sheep. A single, perfectly placed behind-the-shoulder shot with a 150-grain TSX bullet from my .270 Weatherby Magnum dropped the animal—a 12-year-old ram with a nice full curl. My guide, Jeff Trangmore and our packer, Wes Shipley both said this was the first time they’d ever seen a sheep killed with a single shot. When we finally got to the ram and began to skin it, the effects of the bullet were immediately apparent. The ram must have been DOA a split second after the bullet struck. The bullet didn’t hit any bone, but both shoulders were jellied and the front part of the chest cavity was destroyed.

Thanks to your Triple-Shock bullets, my hunt was a success.

Just wanted to let you know what a great bullet the TSX is. My first handload produced this three-shot group with 150-grain TSX bullets. The group was fired from a Remington 700 .30-06 with a 22-inch barrel.
