300 AAC BLK VOR-TX® Shipping Soon.

Because of the unprecedented demand for the 300 AAC Blackout (BLK) VOR-TX® Ammunition availability has been slim. However, Barnes Bullets is announcing that the award winning ammunition will be back in stock and will begin shipping next week. Barnes looks forward to once again providing its valued customers with this celebrated ammunition.

The 300 AAC BLK VOR-TX Ammunition has been a crowd-pleaser since its introduction – being awarded “BEST OF SHOT” by Military Times’ GearScout, and Ammo Of The Year by Outdoor Life.

The 300 AAC Blackout shines when it is suppressed. I have a Noveske upper on my Bushmaster lower and this is a fun combination. However, I don’t think there is anyone out there who makes a subsonic round that performs well on impact. The ideal round would be 200 gr to 240 gr and would open up on impact at about 1000 fps. I haven’t found anything that does this well. Fill that niche and you will sell all you can make.

I’m glad to hear that Barnes is shipping more 300 BLK VOR-TX ammo, since I just bought the last box my local Sportsman’s Warehouse had in stock. Next time I visit my local Sportsman’s Warehouse, I will be sure to let them know that I will happily buy 300 BLK VOR-TX ammo (along with any other 300 BLK ammo they choose to stock) whenever it’s on the shelf. If Barnes can keep the supply flowing, it’s just a matter of lather-rinse-repeat for my local Sportsman’s Warehouse to *profit*.

  3. I have used your hunting bullets for years with great success. Glad to see this offering. I have been looking for a bigger bullet for use in my AR with a shorter barrel. This round fits all my needs without a new weapon system. I can’t wait to see the accuracy in a 20-24 inch barrel.

This is great news. I converted 2 of my several 5.56′s to the 300 but haven’t been able to buy any large amount of that round, nor anyone else’s. Thanks Barnes.
