BARNES® VOR-TX® AMMUNITION
Loaded with Barnes TSX®, Tipped TSX™ & TSX FN™ bullets

ACCURACY – PRECISON – PERFORMANCEâ„¢

NEW for 2010! BARNES® VOR-TX® Ammunition – precision loaded with the deadliest bullets on the planet. The leader in bullet innovation offers hunters the ultimate in accuracy, terminal performance and handloaded precision in a factory loaded round. The whirling, destructive powerâ„¢ of Barnes’ all-copper bullet’s PERformance leaves lead-core bullet DEformance in the dust.
Offering double-diameter expansion, maximum weight retention and excellent accuracy, the TSX®, Tipped TSX™ and TSX FN™ provide maximum tissue and bone destruction, pass-through penetration and devastating energy transfer. Multiple grooves in the bullet’s shank reduce pressure and improve accuracy. Bullets open instantly on contact – no other bullet expands as quickly. Nose peels back into four sharp-edged copper petals destroying tissue, bone and vital organs for a quick, humane kill.

  14. Gary says:

I recently used this ammo in my Browning BAR 243 while antelope hunting in Wyoming and I’m impressed. I went 5 for 5 all with 1 shot, dropped them dead in their tracks. I will use nothing else from now on and can’t wait to try it on sitka black tailed deer with my 7mm.

  15. Dave C. says:

Ranged my 7mm today, I previously shot 4″ groups at 200 yards. Today I shot the whole box. Cooling between shots, with only 2 slight scope modifications. My rifle is a stock 700 Rem ADL, Only modification was a trigger job to bring pressure to about 2.5 lbs. Other than that “Stock Hunting Rifle’, My final group “3 Shots” were 3/4″ Group bulls at 200 yards. Wow I cant wait for Elk season in 3 weeks. Awsome Ammo. Thanks.

  16. Dave C. says:

P.S. The Ammo I shot was the 7mm REM MAG 160 GR. TSX BT. My rifle has never liked a round so much. It’s all I will shoot from now on.

  17. Randy Winsor says:

I am looking forward trying your VOR-TX when it is available for .270 WSM. Keep it up.

  18. Mark Gardner says:

I have shot the 165 grain 300 win mag VOR-TX load on two occassions now, once when it was 105 degrees and today when it had cooled to 91 degrees. The first day my shots landed in 7/8 and 1/2 inch groups and today they made one hole at 100 meters. I shot the 8 inch steel plates out to 300 meters and never missed. I’m looking forward to introducing one to an elk soon.

  19. Don McKay says:

    n
No 7mm/08 Rem? Everybody & his brother shoots one.

  20. Dustin says:

Hope you will also load 25-06 in the Vor-Tex ammo in 100 gr.

  21. Robbin M. says:

I WOULD LOVE TO SEE YOU GUY’S OFFER THIS NEW AMMO IN 7mm-08 in a 120 gr. and a 140 gr.

  22. George Fraza says:

I have used you bullets and purchased custom ammunition from different companies. The bullets perform great. I own a 300 RUM which I will begin to purchase your VOR-TX ammunition for. The 180 gr is the perfect weight. I also have a 7MM RUM. Will you be offering that cartridge any time soon. I have found the 160 gr is best in my weapon. It is an excellent all round weapon and would love to try your tipped TSX in that gun. Let me know.

    Thanks

  23. smitty says:

opening day in 11 hours, first box of VOR-TX in the 223. 55 gr.
Store was all out of my usual, Vital-Shock.
They said these will do just fine out of my AR. I will keep you all posted with the score.

  24. Richard says:

The AR15 Fan club is HUGE!!!
Most Quality AR15 have a 5.56mm chamber and can take more pressure than the 223rem.
Would like to see 5.56mm NATO loadings with the TSX bullet frm 55gr to 70gr

    Do a poll on AR15.com

  25. Ken says:

I would like to see the the bullets loaded and avaliable in up to a 70gr. to 80gr. range,

  26. Mark Gardner says:

I just got back from a 4th season elk hunt in Colorado and took a 6X6 bull (was a 6X7 but broke off) at 322 yards. He was hit with a VOR-TX 168 grain 300 win mag load. One shot tight to the shoulder and it exited. He went 2 feet and all I saw was feet in the air in the scope. I’ve never seen a big bull go down like that before. Thanks. Mark

  27. Chris says:

Please consider offering VOR-TX in 7mm-08 in 120 and 140 grains. Great round for my daughter and would be superb with your ammunition.
168 grns in 30-06 would be nice, too.

  28. USAFblue says:

In my Remington 700 SS 308 5R Milspec with H.S. Precision Stock, fully bedded with Devcon Aluminum, Timney trigger at two pounds, Schmidt & Bender Precision Hunter scope, Leupold Mark 4, 30mm rings, lapped, trued and glued with liquid electrical tape, Harris Ultralite Swivel Bipod, U.S. Optics Ring Mounted Bubble Level, I am shooting one hole groups all day long at 100 yards. At 200 yards I can cover all of my shots with a dime! Barnes VOR-TX at 168 grains is SUPER AMMO, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

  29. David says:

Shot a whitetail doe this weekend with the VOR-TX in .223 55gr. @ 135 yards. She mule-kicked and then rolled over in the creek graveyard dead. Absolutely destroyed both lungs. I’m sold.

  30. Brian says:

The performance of the .243 on wild hog was phenominal. My son and I harvested two last week using the Barnes VOR-TX.

Neither hog took a step further.

The wound channel was absolutely devastating.

One hog was ~ 75 pounds, the other was around 110 pounds.

Both went entirely through the hogs (40-50 yard shots).

The wound channel left no doubt about expansion either. The shoulder on both hogs was dislocated (on the exit side – the one on the smaller hog looked like it had gone through a meat grinder).

Both dropped where they stood and neither squeeled for more than 10 seconds.

Would love to try some of this in my 5.56

  31. We Guide hunters on Oryx, Elk, Mule deer, Bear, Barbary, Ibez in New Mexico and Recommend ONLY one bullet….Barnes!!!
Will you have plans to make any Wthrby bullets?

  32. Richard says:

    VORTX IN
    5.56mm NATO PRESSURE LOADS
    55gr 62gr,70gr

    223rem , in 70gr

No need to go heavier than the 70gr TSX
    in 5.56/223rem

  33. Bryan says:

Gunna try some 223 on an up-coming hog hunt in Texas next week. How about offering a load in the 405 winchester.?

  34. Dwight says:

Don’t forget the classic 7×57 Mauser with a 140TSX….classics need love too.

  35. Kennon Brown says:

Would like to see some 7-30 Waters loaded with either the 110 gr or the 120 gr TTSX from the Barnes Vor-Tx bullets. Currently Federal loads a 120 gr bullet and supply is a problem.
