2010 New Product Sneak Peek
I can’t keep this one quiet anymore, I just can’t. I’m passionate about the big calibers, so I’m excited to let you know about the NEW 375 Caliber 350 grain TSX for 2010. Now wait! Don’t run to the phone to place your order just yet, because they won’t be in stock until January, 2010. However, we did make a very small, preliminary run (Sorry – no more left!) for T&E. “The Sheriff” Jim Wilson and Il LIng New of Gunsite used this new bullet in Australia on buffalo and Wild Ox. Go to www.sheriffjimwilson.com to read about their experience with this new bullet. Another little bonus is that we’ll also be producing a matched weight Solid. Excellent elephant medicine! -JSB
I would like to see a 200gr 35 caliber tipped triple shock X-bullet. This weight would be shootable in about all of the 35 calibers and should not give length issues for the 350 Rem Mag or 358 Win . This bullet should also have a good b.c. for a 200gr 35 cal bullet. Anything heavier would be useless in the 350 and 358 . I think there is a market for it.
I would also buy a 200gr 35 caliber tipped triple shock X bullet. There is a growing market now for 35 caliber rifles like 358 win and 35 wheelen…
I think a 200gr. TTSX in .358 caliber would be a VERY welcome addition to us .35 caliber advocates
Hope we dont have to wait much longer for some new 8mm/.323 pills, like a TTSX 150gr
I also see you have .338 caliber 285gr. TSX planned. You have .338 lapua behind it. While I am sure it will work well in that cartridge I hope you include data for the .340 Weatherby, 338 RUM and 338-378 Weatherby. All of these cartridges have the case capacity to take advantage of what will be an EXCELLENT new addition to your lineup.
8mm .323 TTSX .150 GRAIN OR .180 GRAIN PLEASE.
That’s great news! Now, when can we see the tipped versions??
HI JUST WONDERING WHEN YOU GUYS ARE EXPANDING YOUR TIPPED TRIPPLE SHOCK BULLETS TO THE 44 AND 45 CAL RANGE TO CATER FOR THE 444 AND 450 MARLIN AND 4570 OWNERS ??? THE BULLETS CAN STILL HAVE A FLAT POLOMER TIP FOR TUBULAR MAG’S BUT STILL HAVE THE GREAT FEATURES THAT THE TTSX HAVE ON BIG GAME .
I agree with the other gentlemen about 35 calibers. I shoot a 350 Rem mag.(with great success I might add,)and would love to see a 200 gr. TTSX. Also, with your advanced bullet technology, the minimum legal requirements abroad could & should be reduced from 9.3 to .358
I would like to see a 6.8 (.277) TTSX weighing in the 95-105 gr range. The 110 TSX is just a tad long for use in an AR. By dropping the weight between 5 and 10 grains the length should come down enough to fit for ARs. Say about the same length as the 110 gr TSX.
Well thats great that there is a 375 350 grain coming out I love your products and I need a xpb in a 9 makarov let me know when some are coming out
6.5 shooters really miss the big game capabilities of the 140XLC. A 140MRX would be the perfect addition to the line. The 130TSX-FB does not fill the void, and its FB turns-off shooters looking for high BCs. The 120TTSX is the gold standard for a medium game hunting bullet – Thank You!
How about something for the .338 Marlin Express? I wouldn’t hate seeing a tsx for my new levergun.
I would love to see a 6MM MXR bullet coming in at 90gr. I use my DPMS chambered in 243 for prairie dogs, coyotes, white tail, axis, etc. and would love to have a little more knock down power on longer shots.
Thank you,
Pat
Would love to see the following;
140gr TSX in 6.5mm AND a 100gr TTSX in 6.5mm to cover both ends of the spectrum………..
A 185gr TTSX in 338 calibre.
A 160gr TTSX in 7mm…………..
Would love to see the 35 in TTSX the 35 Whelen is legal as primitive weapon in MS now…..
also maybe ttsx 120 in 7mm….
I would like to have a 230-235 gr 9.3 mm bullet for deer and other light game and also to have all your 9.3 mm bullets tipped. Maybe also a 300 gr 9.3 TTSX and banded solid?
any plans for a HEAVY .358????? (over 250gr)
maybe something like your expander that is in 12g. sabot rounds.
We need a TTSX in 323 180-200 grains please
180gr TSX for 303 please.
Thanks for the 150 grain .311 FB!
I’m wondering why there’s no 160 grain BT TSX OR T-TSX.
How about a 300 grain .338 for the growing in popularity 338 Lapua?
.17 ammo please
Could you PLEASE produce a TTSX in .375?
Yes for the 140 gr class tsx or ttsx or mrx, 6.5 mm
Why not ?
I shoot a 358sta and i need a 250gr tsx. 225 is a little light for this caliber. The 250 at 3000 would be devestating.
I could not agree more with Jim Young and Blair Calvin above. As I’ve pleaded with Ty for on the on Tech line, please, please, please give us a heavier weight 6.5 tipped bullet. Many folks for North American and/or plains game at longer ranges are coming up with the 6.5 caliber showing great promise, and the recoil is so light it makes for a better starter rifle for youth (IMO) than the .243 because of the variety of bullet weights made for it. Although I appreciate your 120 grain variant (and our family used it very successfully for 16 African plains game animals ranging from limpopo bush buck to gemsbuck, zebra and black wildebeest a couple years ago), I still am stuck (very unhappily) using a competitors bullet for my 1 truly long-range rifle due to the dramatic BC difference between your 120 TTSX and their 140 VLD. If you brought out an MRX in the 135 or 140 grain class, you’d sure make my family (and a LOT of other 6.5 hunters) very happy campers. I’d put an order in for a lot of 1,000 myself! Please bring us a tipped MRX 135 or 140gr 6.5 bullet to reduce the wind drift! You guys have superior expansion at long range/lower velocities to be sure, and much greater consistency on terminal impact, but if I have too much wind drift, it doesn’t help me at all if the shot is not accurately placed in the first place due to the wind. Reducing this variable will help us wring the most out of the great capabilities of your excellent bullet design!
200 gr. 30 cal. ttsx ( bt ) for my 30-378 weatherby
Would love to have some more offering for .30carbine maybe even a varmint grenade.
A .458 TTSX would be awesome for use in a Marlin 45-70. It will increase the BC. Please, us guys in California need it bad.
I want a good 9×18mm makarov DPX.
Randy,
I have used many of your bullets with great results.
However, I have an idea. I am aware of the laws about “solid” monolithic handgun bullets… But your bullets that Cor Bon uses [DPX} and Federal [Expander], have no doubt been ruled legal…
But many handgunners believe in deep penetrating Lead bullets for hunting…
Well with the California Condor Zone [and maybe other "Zones" to follow], is there a possibility you will consider making a handgun bullet in 44 Mag, 45 Cal, and 475 Linebaugh, that is lead free, and designed so it does not expand “too much”, giving DEEP penetration.
Maybe a handgun bullet designed like a North Fork Cup Point, that has the “look and thought” of a little expansion, but will still give the DEEP penetration most handgun hunters want for bigger big game, that would be legal in the Condor Zone…
If anyone can do it you can. I think there is a need.
It would also be good for BIG big game in other places, where the need for a handgun bullet than cannot break apart, would be the best choice.
Thanks,
Tony Black
We already have a 30 caliber 200 grain TTSX. You can order it directly from Barnes over the phone, or through the online store. Product #30880. YAY! -JSB

Guys,
I would like to see you publish some new load data for the .405 Winchester for the Ruger #1 like you do for the .45-70 in the Ruger #1. I would also like to see you manufacture a 300 grain solid for the .405 Winshester. Can you help.
Thanks
we all want more tipped bullets !!! i want a .224 DIA. in a 62 GR.
i would love to see a 6mm 243 bullet in the 100-105 grain MRX that would be a great bullet.
i would love to see a 6mm 243 in 100-105 grain MRX that would be great
Jessica…..I would like to try a 270 grain TTSX in .375 and a 350 TTSX in the .416…..if they perform like the TSX they’s be winners.

How about some load data for your new 285gr TSX and 265gr TTSX for the .338 Lapua? Would like to see some loads with out having to tinker with it too much.
please make a 17 caliber center fire bullet in 25 grn
there is a lot of .17 shooters out there.
thanks,
saul k
I would really like to see more of your tipped tsx bullets in factory loaded ammunition. Especially for my 30-06 of course. I don’t handload since it tends to save about 25c per round, and you have to shoot a lot to make it a savings. I am in Canada, and we always are in the dust when it comes to waiting for the advancements in products to reach us (usually about a year).
I need a 160-180 gr 35 caliber TSX or TTSX for 35 Remington velocities. Pretty please? LOL
It would also work great for all the 35 caliber wildcats based on short cases (1.625 max case length for rifles for deer in several Midwestern states).
250 TTSX or heavier in .358
